Mending Hearts LLC offers support to clients receiving hospice and palliative care services. Hospice care is sometimes referred to as end-of-life care and is a type of palliative care for patients who are in their last stages of a serious illness and have opted not to continue with curative treatments. The purpose of hospice support is to focus on comfort, symptom relief, and emotional-spiritual support.
We take a simple approach, whether at home or in a care facility, by providing a caregiver who will allow our clients to spend quality time with their families. Our caregivers can assist with a wide variety of everyday nonmedical tasks, including:
- Companionship
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Continence/Incontinence Care
- Spiritual Support (if desired)
- Medication reminders
- Emotional support
- Assistance with light housekeeping
The Benefits of Hospice Support
Hospice support is designed to make your loved one as comfortable as possible, whether that’s in their home or a care facility. Many times, among the doctor’s visits and treatments and hard decisions, realizing that your loved one ultimately desires to be comfortable can be forgotten. Caregivers want to make sure your loved one’s dignity remains intact and that they have time to enjoy more of what they love, whether that’s hobbies at home or spending precious time with their loved ones.
If you think your loved ones need help in performing their daily living activities, please contact us shortly.
